Paramount VBC is so excited for the 2024-25 USAV Club Season! Paramount VBC is building on its historic, record-breaking previous two seasons. During the 2022-23 season, Paramount VBC was the ONLY CHRVA Club to qualify a team for the 2023 USAV GJNC in all age groups (U12-U18). Paramount VBC also had the most teams and age groups qualified for the 2023 USAV GJNC out of all clubs in the CHRVA Region. And last, but certainly not least, our 2023 Paramount VBC U18 team made CHRVA Region history with their 5th place overall finish in the 18 OPEN Division of the 2023 18s USAV GJNC. This was the best finish of all time for a CHRVA Region U18 team, demolishing the previous best overall CHRVA team finish of 17th place.
During the 2023-24 season, Paramount VBC qualified more teams for the 2024 USAV GJNC than any other CHRVA club (we qualified 8 total teams, including our 14-2 team). Paramount VBC was the only CHRVA club to qualify a team in every age group U11-U17. Likewise, Paramount VBC also earned the most total bids of any CHRVA club to the 2024 USAV GJNC, with more than 13 total bids earned through the reallocation and bid upgrade process. We were also the only CHRVA club to earn an OPEN Bid in the U15 age group to the 2024 GJNC. Moreover, we qualified two teams for GJNC in the U14 age group, which is virtually unheard of in the CHRVA Region (since 2012, there has only been one other "second" team in the entire CHRVA Region to earn a bid to GJNC). We are changing the narrative with 2's teams: we form winning teams, not Regional teams. Lastly, in our inaugural season of having a U11 team, our 11s team finished 1st place at CHRVA Bid Regionals (National Bid) and were the only CHRVA club to qualify for the 2024 GJNC.
Paramount VBC is so excited to be the only CHRVA club that was invited and accepted into the 2025 Triple Crown National Invitational Tournament (NIT). The NIT is the most prestigious, competitive, and highest college-recruited tournament in the country (with more than 500 college coaches in attendance each year). We are also super excited about our exclusive new partnership with Dustin Watten and NOEZYBUCKETS. As part of this partnership, our athletes will have exclusive access to all of their online academies, and Paramount VBC athletes will be the only athletes the NOEZYBUCKETS staff (which is composed of professional volleyball players and former Olympians) will train and work with on the East Coast during the 2024-25 season. NOEZYBUCKETS will be coming into our gym to do in-person clinics during the club season.
Having sent upwards of 50 players to Division 1 schools in just the past 5 years, we are so excited to be in our official and exclusive new home: The Virginia Volleyball Factory. The Virginia Volleyball Factory will be our new long-term home, and it is the premier volleyball-exclusive training facility in the DMV, with 8 total volleyball courts!

NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED for tryouts, no matter the circumstance. Paramount VBC reserves the right to wait until after tryouts have concluded to determine how many teams we are officially forming and in which age groups these teams will be formed (all CHRVA clubs reserve this right).

This season , the CHRVA Region decided to go back to having tryouts on two separate weekends. As such, our tryouts for the U10-U14 age groups will be on 10/25, and our tryouts for the U15-U18 age groups will be on 11/1.
A child's USAV age, by definition, is the age of the athlete on July 1st of 2024. Players who are only 7 or 8 years old are allowed to register for our U10/U11 tryouts. Any athlete is eligible to participate in the U10 tryouts as long as they have not turned 10 years old prior to July 1, 2024.
We recommend for families to arrive at least 45 minutes prior to their child's tryout start time in order to allow for sufficient time to check their child in (ideally, arriving an hour early is preferred). We are anticipating very large tryout numbers, and your child will not be allowed onto the court until they are properly checked in (with the necessary documents per USAV/CHRVA rules). We understand that this may be difficult for some families to arrive this early. We are aware of this and will work with families to help them through the check-in process as quickly as possible. *It is our goal to be a home for as many of the U10/U11 (and younger) players who want to play for Paramount. We of course cannot guarantee that all these athletes in these age groups will be placed on a team, but we are really trying to grow the game in our area at these age groups. How many teams we form is dependent on the quantity and quality of the players who show up to tryouts in these age groups. We will not be having any "regional" teams. All of our teams are competitive teams that will have the expectation of receiving high-level training and earning a bid to USAV GJNC.
Step 1: DETERMINE YOUR AGE DIVISION
Check the USA Volleyball (USAV) junior age definition table for the 2024-25 season and select the appropriate age division. Since Paramount VBC is anticipating forming teams in the U10-U18 age groups this season, please do not sign up for an age group that would be considered "playing up" (unless you have previously received directions from Paramount VBC to do so). You may, however, sign up for tryouts for any age group which your daughter is age-eligible for. For example, if your daughter is currently a 9th grader but is age-eligible to play in the U14 age group, you may register her for either U14 OR U15 Tryouts (whichever age group you would prefer). However, we would ask that this same family not sign their daughter up for U16 tryouts (i.e., playing up). With this being said, 7 and 8 year olds are allowed to register for our U10 tryouts. Any player can sign up for our U10 tryouts as long as they have not turned 10 years old prior to July 1, 2024.

Register with CHRVA Please Note: You will be asked to either pay a $25 limited membership fee or $55 for a full Junior USAV Membership fee (all Inclusive). The limited membership is good for a period of 10 days from the first use and may be used on up to 5 different dates within the 10 day period. Once a player has committed to a club team, they will need to upgrade to a full membership for an additional $30. If you choose a Limited Membership, Junior Tryout-10 day registration, please be sure the membership dates are specified to include your athlete's tryout period. We cannot accept memberships with parents' names on them or that do not include the tryout date. This allows your athlete to tryout with multiple clubs if she/he desires. Once your athlete has been chosen for a team, you will need to go back into your USAV account and designate which club you will be playing for and also pay the additional amount for a full membership before being added to a Paramount roster (if you didn't already previously purchase a full membership). REMINDER: Proof of CHRVA membership with athlete's name, CHRVA number and expiration date must be shown at tryouts. Upon completing the membership you will receive an email with a QR code. You can bring that QR code to be scanned at tryouts to show a valid membership. A digital copy may be shown (including on your phone). Remember: you will not be able to participate in tryouts if you do not have a copy that shows dates that include the tryout date AND the athlete's name on the membership on hand the day of tryouts.
