Clinic Descriptions

The first question most people ask us is whether they should attend the Saturday clinics or the Sunday clinics. If the goal is to make a Paramount team and develop your skills, then we recommend attending as many of our clinics as possible. The more our coaching staff gets the chance to see a player play, the better it is for the player. Moreover, clinics are great ways for prospective families to learn more about our club (and other clubs) to see if it could potentially be a good fit. The Saturday clinics are more-so designed to work on specific positional skills, whereas the Sunday clinics are more geared towards competitive gameplay.

THE ELITE SKILLS AND COMPETITION CLINIC is a fast-paced clinic that will aim to develop a players' general skillset and a players' ability to apply these skills in competitive 6 vs 6 gameplay. Approximately half of the clinic will be spent working on all-around skills (passing, serving, hitting, etc.) and then the second half of the clinic will involve 6 vs 6 play in which players will have the opportunity to get game-like repetitions while trying to apply the skills they just learned.

THE HIGH-INTENSITY LIBERO CLINIC is a fast-paced clinic that will aim to touch on all of the most important skills that a DS/Libero needs to be most successful. Skills covered will include passing/serve receive, defense, serving, and out-of-system setting. Players of all positions are welcome, as pin hitters who want to be 6-rotation players need to be very strong in these skills, too.

THE HIGH-INTENSITY SETTER TRAINING CLINIC is designed to teach players the foundational skills they must master to become strong setters. All of the most important setting fundamentals will be touched on, and players will get many fast-paced repetitions.

THE HIGH-INTENSITY HITTER CLINIC is a fast-paced clinic that will aim to touch on all of the most important skills that a hitter needs to be most successful. Skills covered will include arm-swing mechanics, approach technique/footwork, and tooling the block.

THE YOUTH AND MIDDLE SCHOOL SKILLS CLINIC  will aim to develop all of the necessary fundamental skills for youth and middle school players. Skills covered will include serving, passing and hitting. In general, the first half of the clinic will consist of training these fundamental skills, and the second half of the clinic will consist of attempting to apply these skills in competitive gameplay.
